Appendix 2. An example "recipe" used to specify statistical parameters to the Fractal Landscape Realizer. This recipe is used to produce Map 8. In this example, Category 0 is absolutely constrained to exactly match the real map, and will not vary between realizations. Categories 3 and 9 are constrained by elevation; Category 3 is constrained to appear in valley bottoms, whereas Category 9 tends to appear on hilltops. The locations of these categories will vary from one realization to the next.
