In conservation, resilience decreases while the other values increase. Eventually, some internal or external perturbation triggers the release phase, in which potential crashes. Finally, in the reorganization phase, resilience and potential grow, connectedness falls, unpredictability peaks, and new system entrants can establish themselves (Source: Allison and Hobbs 2004).
