MASTER'S PROGRAM at STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY
NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, GOVERNANCE AND GLOBALISATION
August 2005 - June 2006
The course has a transdisciplinary and problem oriented approach to the
study of sustainability. Participants will perform in-depth case study
analyses and discuss the complex relationships of social-ecological systems.
The first term (August - January) includes four courses:
1. Philosophy of sustainability science.
2. Natural resource management and ecosystem resilience.
3. Collaboration in networks and management organisations.
4. International governance.
During the second term (January June), new perspectives and understanding
will be applied when writing an innovative Masters Degree Thesis
*. A Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required for admission.
Deadline for application:
1 March 2005 for non-Swedish citizens
15 April 2005 for Swedish citizens
